Stephen Covey: Remembering the 7 Habits

If I were stranded on a desert island, the one self-improvement book I’d want would be Stephen Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” In just seven concepts, he managed to encompass the whole of the personal development process. (Proving, once again, that less is more.)

In honor of Covey, who died on Monday, let’s remember those 7 habits:

  1. Be proactive
  2. Begin with the end in mind
  3. Put first things first
  4. Think win/win
  5. Seek first to understand, then to be understood
  6. Synergize
  7. Sharpen the saw
